How the WOU healing frequency music app works

Creating a free account takes a few seconds with an email address or Google. Right away, 5 selected songs play in full and every song in the library can be previewed for 30 seconds. Previews make it easy to explore the categories and find the frequencies that feel right.

Plans are monthly or yearly. Yearly saves about 17%. Prices are shown in the local currency after joining. Upgrading is possible at any time and unused time on the current plan is credited automatically.

Every Monday at midnight local time, 5 Platinum songs from different categories become free for everyone below Platinum. Free accounts play them in full. Basic and Gold members enjoy them with no ads. The selection changes each week and a song does not return for at least 8 weeks. The Home page shows a countdown and the last day is clearly marked.

Rain, thunderstorms, campfire, wind, crickets on a summer night and more. The whole nature sounds collection plays in full on every plan, including the free plan.

The Most Popular section on the Home page is decided by listeners. Each month, categories are ranked by the average number of likes per song during the previous month. A category needs at least 3 songs and at least 10 likes that month to qualify, so a single song cannot dominate. Liking songs is the simplest way to help others discover the best of the library.

The streak is an optional reward for free listeners in the WOU app. Simply listen each day and the app counts the day for you. Seven days in a row completes the streak and unlocks a Platinum song of choice for 30 days.

Missed a day? It can be saved the next day by watching a short ad. Two missed days in a row starts the streak again. Paying members save days without ads. The earned song plays in the WOU app. Platinum members already have every song, so the streak does not apply to them.

Every account has a personal invite link in My Profile. When a friend joins with that link and starts listening, both accounts receive a reward. The friend enjoys 7 days of Basic for free. The inviter receives 7 days of the next plan up: Free members enjoy Basic, Basic members enjoy Gold and Gold members enjoy Platinum. Platinum members receive 7 extra days added before their next payment, on monthly and yearly plans alike.

The website is ideal for listening at a desk or on a computer, and the WOU app is made for life on the go. The WOU app for Android is coming soon to Google Play, and the iPhone app on the Apple App Store will follow after that. It takes everything on the website and adds a set of premium features designed for real life: listening with the screen off, in the car, at bedtime and far away from any signal. The same account and plan work on the website and in the app.

Music keeps playing when the screen turns off or another app is opened. Play, pause and skip right from the lock screen or the notification panel, without unlocking the phone. A meditation can carry on while a message is answered, and a sleep session can run with the screen dark beside the bed.

The WOU app also plays alongside other apps, so frequency music can stay in the background during reading, browsing or a workout.

The WOU app connects to Android Auto, so the WOU library appears right on the car screen the moment the phone is plugged in or connected. Categories, playlists and songs are laid out in a simple, driver-friendly view designed by Google for safety on the road. Everything can be controlled from the car display, the steering wheel buttons or by voice, so eyes stay on the road and hands stay on the wheel.

A long drive becomes a calm one. 432 Hz and 528 Hz songs soften the stress of heavy traffic, the Gamma Brain series keeps the mind clear on the way to an important meeting and nature sounds turn a late journey home into a gentle wind-down. Bluetooth car systems are supported too, with play, pause and skip working from the car controls. In the car there are never any ads, on every plan. Songs available on the current plan play in full and other songs play their 30-second preview.

Frequency music is meant to relax. Drivers who feel drowsy should choose an energising song or stop and rest.

Falling asleep to music should feel effortless, not end with a jolt. The sleep timer lets the music play for a chosen length of time, such as 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes, or simply until the current song ends. As the time runs out, the volume fades down slowly and smoothly, so the music drifts away instead of stopping suddenly and waking the listener up again.

The timer keeps running with the screen off and the phone locked, so there is no need to stay awake to switch anything off. It also saves battery overnight and keeps the phone quiet once sleep has arrived. Pair it with the Sleep series, rain sounds or a calming 432 Hz song for a bedtime ritual the body learns to recognise. Parents find it just as useful for naps, letting a Babies song play through the settling period and then fade away on its own.

Platinum members can save up to 24 songs, about 12 hours of frequency music, to listen to without any internet connection. It is perfect for flights, long train rides, retreats in the mountains, camping trips or simply saving mobile data. Choose the songs, tap the download button and they are ready to play anywhere, even in airplane mode.

Offline songs are kept on 1 phone per account, in full quality. They are protected and play only inside the WOU app, which keeps the music safe while staying simple to use. The app just needs to go online at least once every 30 days to keep the saved songs available, and saved songs can be swapped for new ones at any time. Offline listening still counts towards listening statistics once the phone is back online.

When a call comes in, the music pauses on its own and carries on once the call ends. If headphones or earbuds are unplugged or disconnected, the music pauses straight away instead of suddenly playing out loud through the phone speaker. Small details that make listening feel calm and considerate.

Free accounts in the WOU app are supported by ads, which never interrupt a song, never cover the player controls and never appear in the car. Paying members never see ads.

Plans can be changed or cancelled in My Profile at any time and access continues until the end of the paid period. The weekly email can be switched off in one click. An account can be deleted in My Profile, in the WOU app or from the delete account page.
